Have you heard the mews? Weāve got kittens!
Our friends over at Waifs and Strays Rescue have entrusted Pause with a litter of four kittens.
We are very excited to tell mew about our new arrivals! We are lucky enough to be able to take in a litter of sisters, joining their family with ours. We have been working behind the scenes with local rescue centre Waifs and Strays, run by the lovely Hilary Ford and Matt Goodrum. Both Hilary and Matt are delighted to rehome the kittens as a litter.
“It’s lovely that 4 kittens get to stay together, it is always the hardest thing to see litter siblings go their separate ways. I always find it very sad, so I’m going to enjoy watching them develop together long term.” Says Hilary
“We find one of the most difficult parts of what we do is finding the right home for cats that are in our care.ā says Matt. āI’m very excited to be working more closely with the Pause team in the wonderful environment they have created, where the welfare and safety of the cats is paramount.” He continues “Pause is not just another Cat Cafe, it is a lovely environment where the welfare and safety of the cats is paramount along with the educational side of teaching people about and how to handle Cats. Anyone can visit, enjoy the company of and learn about cats and even have a cracking cup of coffee or something lovely to eat.”
We are very purrroud of the home our team has created fur our kitties, and now we get to welcome four more to kitty paradise. We managed to keep our family Michelle and her three kittens Poppet, Noodle and Sweetcheeks together in 2017 with our Stray Together campaign, and now we have the chance to do the same again fur these gorgeous guys!
The kittens are around 3-meownths old and have moved into their own ākitten palaceā downstairs in the cafe. The palace has been built in a neutral area of the cafe so that us resident cats donāt feel terripawrial over the kittenās space. This also allows the kittens to have their own area, where they can settle in and retreat to when they want to chill out.
Our cattendants have furmed a dediācatāed kitten teamto take care of the arrivals and ensure they are feline at home in no time… but donāt worry! We have our usual team looking after us OG cats to make sure weāre feline good too.
Itās going to take a few months to fully settle our mew kitties, so we are grateful for your patience while we keep efurryone happy and healthy! You can come and see the kittens through their perspex palace window in Octopurr, and on weekdays in Meowvember we hope you can meet them during quieter periods – but this may not always be pawsible, as it depends on how the cats and kittens are doing so if you book to see them especially and arenāt able to, weāll ofur you another slot.
One thing is fur sure, Christmas just got a lot cuter! š»
Thank mew for supawting our home.
See you soon kitty lovers!
