Pause Cat Cafe offers volunteer placements for people who have disabilities, learning difficulties and mental illness. Volunteers find that working at Pause gives them purpose, a way to get out and feel productive, and they are able to learn useful skills that can help them in their daily lives but also improve their opportunities to get jobs.
Some of our volunteers would benefit from more one-to-one guidance to help them push themselves further and learn more new skills so they feel even more proud of their achievements and end their shift with an even bigger smile.
We are looking for a lovely, patient, kind person to help support our volunteers on their shifts. Your role is first to learn the task and then to verbally guide and show the volunteer the task and to encourage them to try new things.
Currently we are searching for that purrfect person who is available to help support one of our volunteers with cafe tasks whilst we are open to the public. We need someone who is available on Thursdays, 12-4pm. This is a voluntary position.
We are a disability confident employer and are proud to welcome a team with a variety of ages, genders and orientations.
